What does POS mean?

POS stands for ‘Point Of Sale’. Originally, the term focused on a place or a setting where financial transactions occur. Think of a counter, a booth or even a stand. Basically a place where goods are exchanged for money. Later this definition extended to hardware, think a cash register. Finally, this definition encompassed software and other platforms like buying and selling online. 

Geidea POS takes things to the next level. Geidea POS is a software that can be purchased along with the recommended hardware. The list of hardware is vast and covers all business needs. Additionally, the software and functionality of Geidea POS extends from a financial transaction into all aspects of the business. Geidea POS covers inventory management, menu customization, website and delivery, customer management, marketing campaigns, employee management, and much more.

If we wish to put a definition to Geidea POS, then we can say “A holistic system that integrates with, and manages, all business systems. Providing clear visibility and total control”.

Keep in mind that you always get your Backoffice and either the Windows app or Android device + Android app. The rest are optional per your business needs.
